Caryn, KD2GUT and her dogs
Caryn says, "Both dogs were adopted as adults of unknown age; we suspect Pucci, the female, was younger
than we initially believed and Ziggy, the male, may have been older than we thought.
Ziggy was a gentle Shih-tzu mix we adopted as an SPCA rescue and he lived with us for 6 years. Pucci was a
Lhasa-poodle mix who was an off-the-street rescue who showed signs of having been abused.
She lived a good life with us for 12 years."
Why has Caryn chosen to operate K2D, and to honour these two dogs?
"I think the love of a dog is one of the purest life-affirming forces we can welcome into our lives.
It is a
privilege to care for a dog, especially a rescue dog who is often the unwanted castoff of society. By operating
with the K2D team I will be paying tribute to Pucci and Ziggy, and thank them both for their years with me,
which I wish had been longer.
I also hope to inspire others to open their hearts and assist our loyal friends by whatever means they can."
